Clinical Psychologist
Joost Hutsebaut (Prof. Dr.) is a clinical psychologist and holder of an endowed chair on ‘Prevention and early intervention of personality pathology’ at the Tilburg university. He mainly works with young people with (emerging) borderline PD and their families in a mentalization-based early intervention program. He’s the principal investigator of the Assessment research line of de Viersprong and conducted research on the Alternative Model for Personality Disorders, including the development of an interview schedule (STiP-5.1) and brief questionnaire (LPFS-BF 2.0). Joost is also related to the Dutch Center of Expertise on Personality Disorders and co-authored the Guideline-Informed Treatment for Personality Disorders (GIT-PD), a nation-wide project to improve management of personality disorders. He published several research and general papers on young people with PD, assessment of level of personality functioning, and generic treatment for PDs.
